Welcome to the new forum for Indian auditors! IRCA has recently carried out a survey of Indian auditors and received some interesting feedback - if you would like to include further comments on the way IRCA and our services are perceived in India please comment here. Likewise we hope that this forum will be used to discuss a whole array of specific auditing questions related to Indian industry, and of course we will also welcome comments in all other areas of the IRCA forums. Thanks a lot for thinking about India and Indian Auditors. In my opinion IRCA should start representative office in India. IRCA has representative offices in Korea (small country as compare to India) and various countries, then why not in India? IRCA should think about it seriously to speed up its services to Indian Auditors. New Auditors are prefering QCI's NRBPT over IRCA. I appeal Indian Auditors to post their comments on establishing IRCA's representative office in India. |

Thank you very much. It is very positive endeavour in the part of IRCA to open a discussion forum for Indian Auditors. It iwll be still appropriate if IRCA try to start an regular office in india so that all the IRCA auditors from India will be benefitted. Another important question I would like to put here that after certification how an auditor get experience in auditing in different organizations, is there any mode of approach or means for the same JCS Kataky Certification no. 01190105 |

Thank you very much for your comments so far. We are currently looking at ways of improving the service for our Indian auditors so hopefully in the near future Indian auditors will benefit from better and speedier IRCA services. Please keep on posting your comments here as your feedback is very valuable to us. With regards to the question how auditors can get auditing experience in different organizations, the best way is probably to contact Certification Bodies for vacancies or use either our new website vacancies page or the Chartered Quality Institutes vacancy page (or other associated websites); IRCA - http://www.irca.org/job_vacancies.html The CQI - http://www.thecqi.org/jobs/ Most jobs will probably be UK based but you could contact some of the employers and ask whether they have any vacancies in your country. where is the need for an seperate office in India for IRCA.You are providing very good services as it is.If India office is opened you will also become nit picking like NRBPT !! It will be a better idea if India specific issues pertaining to auditing and auditors' is initiated by IRCA in this Forum so that auditing and certiifcation process is improved. For starters I have observed that most CBs in India are more document oriented rather than focussing on broader issues involved in improving the effectiveness of auditing. There is too much of a nexus between Consultants and CBs to make the Certiifcation process a worth while exercise.I will invite some of the senior auditors to come forward to share their experiences in India. |

Nadine Jeratli IRCA Business Development Manager Thx for the site reference. but i want to know what is the base for keeping criteria of 20 audits for certifying as a lead auditor? and also the fees for certifying as a provisional auditor is high. One more thing, to get registered/ approved as a lead auditor, why it is considered initial or recertification audit only? and why not surveilliance audits are not considered? regs, Nj. |

Fom the current trend I can see that the India forum of IRCA is proving to be very valuable wherein auditors can exchange their ideas get clarifications and help from others. It is a good step in our edeavour for continual improvement. I wish more and more auditors will join the Forum and share their ideas and experiences. Charanjit Singh |

Separate Indian IRCA office may not be required. But its great to know that IRCA is interested in indian auditors. NRBPT is also doing great job by targetting unethical certification bodies and auditors. It will be apprecible if IRCA and NRBPT work together to address audutor issues in India Syed.Babu QMS Auditor Bangalore |
